I would love to tell you about Reiki with animals. This is probably not something you’ve heard a lot of. It’s a very good treatment for various problems with animals. What is Reiki? Reiki is a transition of energy that runs through the hands of the “giver” to the body of the receiver and resolves blockades in the body. When somebody is physically not all right then this means that there’s an imbalance on the physical level. Reiki gives the body energy and because of that energy the body can start its recovery. The body has a self healing mechanism. When you think about a wound, the body will, without any help from the outside, start to heal the wound. Reiki supports that self healing mechanism. The “giver” doesn’t have any influence on the result of the treatment, the body and its self healing mechanism does this itself. Reiki also works on a spiritual level, that’s what makes it’s so good with the treatment of headaches or tension, a simple cold, depression or wounds that heal badly. Reiki is never harmful or negative. It can happen that the complaints get worse at first. But mostly they get better after a short time. The body tackles the cause of the illness and cleans up all effects of the illness.

What does the receiver feel during the treatment? During the treatment the giver puts his hands on special places on the patient’s body. It can be experienced in many ways; like a warm feeling, a cold feeling or like tingling. Many times the receiver can feel very relaxed or the opposite, very energetic. Some people feel nothing at all at the time but do feel the changes afterwards. The giver can also feel a lot of things but mostly warmth or a kind of streaming through his hands.
