My name is Kristina Boey and I was born in 1973. I was raised ‘alternatively’, with this I mean that my parents were in favour of healthy food, homeopathy, urban medicine and used old recepies from grandmother’s time.
Very quickly my parents knew that horses would play a very important role in my life. I started riding horses when I was 4 years old. I rode the naughty Shetland pony from the neighbours. On my 11th birthday I got my very own horse.
I’ve been to Germany, during my school holidays, for riding, training and taking care of the horses there, I did pony camps en I’ve been to people’s homes to help them with their horses.
There was something missing while I was working with the horses. I didn’t always understand how people treated their horses or used them as ‘objects’, kept them for showing off or just used them as toys. I’ve had a lot of problems with that. When I was older I started to investigate “a different way of treating horses”. I started to search for an alternative way to approach them, with respect, trust, love but most off all to see them as an individual, each with its own needs, feelings, fears and stories. Of course this way will probably take a lifetime but it gives much more satisfaction than the ‘empty’ way of treating an animal.
Now I give energetic healings to animals and work with Bach flowers therapy, Reiki, aromatherapy, healing stones and homeopathy. I help animals that have experienced a trauma, I communicate with animals and have found my one way of “healing”.
I'm also an instructor for dogs.
